Iowa Gym Rats is excited to host our 9th year of the Gym Rats High School Fall League. We are excited to host many great games throughout the month of October.

League Dates/Schedule:

  • Week #1 – October 5th, 2025 – Schedule for WEEK 1 will be POSTED by 10:00 PM 9/29
    • THIS WEEK’S GAMES WILL BE PLAYED AT KINGDOM COURTS IN ANKENY
  • Week #2 – October 12th, 2025 – WEEK 2 scheudule will be posted by 10:00 PM 10/6.
  • Week #3 – October 19th, 2025 – WEEK 3 scheudule will be posted by 10:00 PM 10/13.
  • Week #4 – October 26th, 2025 – WEEK 4 scheudule will be posted by 10:00 PM 10/20.

  • Teams will be scheduled to play 8 games

Gym Rats Winter League 2025 (4V4 K-2nd Girls, K-1st Boys)

We are excited to introduce a new, and improved Gym Rats Winter League 2025. In 2025 we will be offering 4V4 divisions for both Boys (K-1st) & Girls (K-2nd). We believe this will improve gameplay, and also allow the players and teams to grow. These age divisions are for all levels of teams. THIS IS NOT A HIGH LEVEL LEAGUE. We are also excited to announce that this year’s Winter League will not have spectator admission fees. We are very excited for this upcoming Winter League and the changes that have been made and we look forward to helping provide a safe environment for teams to grow and learn!

K-1st Boys & K-2nd Girls will play 4v4 (Based on 2025-2026 school year)

2nd-5th Boys & 3rd-5th Girls will play 5v5 (Based on 2025–2026 school year)

Divisions may be capped at 8 teams per division. 

Entry Fee:

$675 per team (7 game guarantee)

WINTER LEAGUE – SPECIAL RULES FOR K-3RD BOYS AND GIRLS

Gym Locations: 

(PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT FACILITY YOUR TEAM/CHILD IS PLAYING AT EACH WEEK)

515 FIELDHOUSE COURTS (COURTS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) – 1120 NE Station Crossing Dr. – Grimes, IA 50111

KINGDOM COURTS (COURTS 1, 2, 3, 4) – 6095 NE Industry Dr. – Ankeny, IA 50313

Admission: 

 NO ADMISSION WILL BE CHARGED FOR SPECTATORS

League Details:

-Games WILL be played on Saturday, primarily Saturday morning.

-Teams will play every week unless requested differently. Off weekends will not be rescheduled. 

-Teams will play 1 game per date for all but 1 select week when teams will play 2 games. This will allow teams to play all other teams in their respective divisions.

-Please contact director if you want to participate in league but have a team that may need special schedule. Certain situations may be accommodated but not guaranteed.

-7 game guarantee. Every team will play 1 games per weekend, with the exception of 1 week where teams will play 2 games. Champions will be crowned after the last week of play, and will go to the team who performed the best throughout the 7 games. Teams will play all other opponents in their division.

-2 certified officials

-Team must provide own uniforms

-Daily Admission will not be charged for spectators

G.O.A.T (Girls ONLY Allowed Tournament)

Welcome to the 5th annual G.O.A.T (Girls ONLY Allowed Tournament). Iowa Gym Rats wants to provide a 1st class event that will “Focus ONLY on the Girls”. Together we look forward to an event that is focused on making the game of basketball a learning and fun environment. We are excited to bring this event to the Des Moines Metro.

Who:

  • 3rd–8th Grade Girls

    -Div. I, Div. II, School team, or lower level teams are allowed

    -The goal is to provide like competition for all teams.

If there is just one division then a player MUST play on 1 team in that grade division. A player may also “PLAY UP” a grade, but may not “PLAY DOWN” a grade.

We are looking forward to a great weekend of basketball as we kick off the State Championships with the GRBA Division I State Championship. This will be another fun year crowning State Champions after hosting 85+ teams joining us from around the state in 2025.
