Thank you for joining us for the Preseason Shootout. We are excited to see some great games to kick-off the Fall/Winter season this weekend.

Gym Rats Winter League 2025 (5V5 3rd-5th Girls, 2nd-5th Boys)

We are excited to introduce a new, and improved Gym Rats Winter League 2025. In 2025 we will be offering 4V4 divisions for both Boys (K-1st) & Girls (K-2nd). We will also be offering 5V5 divisions for both Boys (2nd-5th) & Girls (3rd-5th). We believe this will improve gameplay, and also allow the players and teams to grow. These age divisions are for all levels of teams. THIS IS NOT A HIGH LEVEL LEAGUE. We are also excited to announce that this year’s Winter League will not have spectator admission fees. We are very excited for this upcoming Winter League and the changes that have been made and we look forward to helping provide a safe environment for teams to grow and learn!

K-1st Boys & K-2nd Girls will play 4v4 (Based on 2025-2026 school year)

2nd-5th Boys & 3rd-5th Girls will play 5v5 (Based on 2025–2026 school year)

Divisions may be capped at 8 teams per division. 

Entry Fee:

$675 per team (7 game guarantee)

  • Games are played on Sunday’s only throughout the course of the league
  • Games will be schedule between 1:00-7:00 timeframe.
  • Teams will play 1 game each weekend.
  • Teams will play 2 games on 1 weekend throughout the course of the league.
  • Schedule for all weeks will be released before Week 1.

WINTER LEAGUE – SPECIAL RULES FOR K-3RD BOYS AND GIRLS

Gym Locations: 

515 FIELDHOUSE COURTS (COURTS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) – 1120 NE Station Crossing Dr. – Grimes, IA 50111

Admission: 

 NO ADMISSION WILL BE CHARGED FOR SPECTATORS

League Details:

-Games WILL be played on Sunday afternoons, primarily between 1:00-7:00.

-Teams will play every week unless requested differently. Off weekends will not be rescheduled. 

-Teams will play 1 game per date for all but 1 select week when teams will play 2 games. This will allow teams to play all other teams in their respective divisions.

-Please contact director if you want to participate in league but have a team that may need special schedule. Certain situations may be accommodated but not guaranteed.

-7 game guarantee. Every team will play 1 games per weekend, with the exception of 1 week where teams will play 2 games. Champions will be crowned after the last week of play, and will go to the team who performed the best throughout the 7 games. Teams will play all other opponents in their division.

-2 certified officials

-Team must provide own uniforms

-Daily Admission will not be charged for spectators

Welcome to the GRBA Hardwood Fall Kickoff. We’re excited to partner with Attack Tournaments on this great event again in 2025. We hosted 60+ teams in 2024 for this event and we are excited to have you again in 2025!

Iowa Gym Rats and 515 Hoops have once again combined to make this great event. We hosted 200+ teams from around the Midwest in 2024. 2025 will be another year of great competition!
