Welcome to the 5th annual G.O.A.T (Girls ONLY Allowed Tournament). Iowa Gym Rats wants to provide a 1st class event that will “Focus ONLY on the Girls”. Together we look forward to an event that is focused on making the game of basketball a learning and fun environment. We are excited to bring this event to the Des Moines Metro.

Adults – $12 per day

K-12 Student – $5 per day

We have partnered with “Be the Beast” Live streaming this year and all games played at “515 Fieldhouse Courts”, “Kingdom Courts, and “WDM Rec Plex” will be live streamed each weekend for parents or families members that can not attend. There is a cost associated with the Live Stream and that information can be found here:

Hotel Accommodations:

Iowa Gym Rats Basketball has a “Stay to Play” policy for all tournaments.

“Stay to Play” – This requires all out of town teams and participants in need of hotel accommodations must make their reservations through TBD Travel Services to ensure placement in the tournament. 

* It is required that teams book all of their housing through this service to ensure placement in this tournament. By not using this service, your team may incur a penalty or disqualification. No refunds will be given.

* This is a complimentary service and makes securing your rooms quick and easy
with 24 hour online access to hotel availability.

We introduce this brand new event in 2024 with 30 teams! This is a Boys & Girls tournament to join us for this fun 1 day event. Grab some friends and join us in bringing in the New Year! 

Event:

New Years 3v3 Shootout—Boys and Girls 

When:

December 31st, 2025 (1 Day Only)

Who:

  • 1st–8th Grade Boys
  • 2nd–8th Grade Girls

Format:

  • 3 game guarantee, most will get 4 games

Entry Fee: 

1 team – $150
2 or more teams – $125 per team (USE CODE: MULTI when you are registering on tourney machine)

Welcome to the Waukee Jam Classic. Waukee Jam and Iowa Gym Rats have combined resources to bring a great event to the Des Moines Metro. This should be another fun event for everyone to improve while playing against teams of like competition. We  welcomed 140+ teams to the Des Moines Metro in 2025, and we look forward to another great event in 2026.

-Players are allowed to play on multiple teams “AS LONG AS IT IS IN A DIFFERENT DIVISIONS.” For example if there is a 8th Gold and 8th Silver division a player can play on multiple teams in each division. If there is just one division then a player MUST play on 1 team in that grade division. A player may also “PLAY UP” a grade, but may not “PLAY DOWN” a grade.
